Cape Elizabeth Dining: Briefly Noted

The Way Life Should Be didn’t prevail in my most recent Maine experience of selling our house to what they say in the real estate industry, “the buyers from hell.”

That said, in between residences, we high-tailed it over to Cape Elizabeth and moved into the Inn by the Sea until our new house is ready to occupy. We used to go to the Inn all the time before living in Maine because their cottages accommodate dogs and it’ offers a great seaside setting.

Years ago, there were very few places to go to eat out in the area, and that pretty much describes it now. On our first night we took the long drive (it seemed even longer when you’re driving through an ice storm on slick roads) and settled into the Saltwater Grille in South Portland.
