Great Cheese Grater Experience News!
Well, I have officially graduated from South Portland High School, and now I'm free to begin my musical summer.
My band got together last week to do some pretty amazing stuff. We got a drummer. We wrote new songs. We performed new songs. We got new fans. We made t shirts and sold some of them. It was a pretty good week.
We decided that we should have a drummer for the band to sound more legit, so we recruited our friend, Ally Falconer, to play drums for us, and she has added so much to our sound and appearance. We're all really glad to have her as an addition to the Cheese Grater family.
The Cheese Grater Experience was asked to write and perform the class song for the entire Class of 2007 at the senior final breakfast. We made the song in two days, practiced it for two days, and then played at the breakfast. The song is called "The Final Panic Revelation", and it got great reception from most of the class. It is a 10 minute, 3 movement-long rock ballad.
Our awesomeness didn't stop there, though.
While writing the class song, we wrote a lot of other songs, and we also improved on pre-existing ones. There is a total of 8 original songs that we can now play. Those songs include "Zombie Holocaust", "Beard Mountain", and "Intergalactic Love Spaceship".
We were asked to play at Project Graduation, so we played an hour set, and it was the greatest show of our lives thus far. My mom filmed the entire show, and it's now available on Youtube in its entirety. You can view it right here:
We played an acoustic set at Project Grad at 2 in the morning, and we had another good audience for that. Since "The Ballad of Joanna" is an acoustic-only song, we played that only for the 2 AM show.

We're selling t-shirts for the band now. It has an intergalactic love spaceship on the front with the Cheese Grater Experience logo on the back. If you are interested in purchasing one, please email us at cheesegraterexperience@gmail.com.
We're hoping to play a lot of shows this summer. If you're interested, again, please email us at the above address. We'd love to play.
Expect a demo cd out sometime within the next month or so.
