Continue reading "The Everyday Visuals "Dance and Holler" music video premiere!"Over the weekend, I had the unique opportunity to host The Everyday Visuals at my house as they prepared for a video shoot the next day. They needed a place to stay, so my mom offered our house to stay for the night. It was a bit stressful to prepare the house for five guests, but it was well worth it in the end. We ended up having a fun time: eating lasagna, playing the Nintendo Wii, and watching some good ol' Mystery Science Theater 3000.
My mom's fiance, Stephen, better known as Dr. Rock 'n Roll of Face Magazine fame, took some random footage from TEV's night at my house. This video will give you an idea of what went down:
The next day was the video shoot for their single "Dance and Holler" from the 2007 release Things Will Look Up. I was offered to be an extra for the video, so I accompanied them on the trip to an office building in Biddeford where the video was being shot. I also took some pictures and video of the shoot. You can find those after the cut.

TEV never fails to please me with their clever instrumentation, electro-beats, beautiful harmonies, and intelligent lyrics ranging from the cheerful to the melancholic. This is one indie rock band that you don't want to miss. I'll let the videos do the rest of the talkin'.

One of the best things I like about The Everyday Visuals is watching them perform. The band is made up of very talented musicians, and that's why I was right up front to see them.

The Boston-based indie group The Everyday Visuals are coming back to Portland on May 17th at the Big Easy. They are still promoting their new album Things Will Look Up. The Everyday Visuals combine elements of melodic rock and electronica to make something completely unique. If you like R.E.M., Radiohead, or Wilco, you will like this band a lot. The band just found out that they are they most played Indie band in Boston. Visit their Myspace to listen to tracks from their latest album.
