Susan's, on Forest Avenue, is a local institution and has been in business for 17 years. On a visit there last year, we saw a special on fish burgers, two for $2! Heaping plate of fish and chips was $5.95.

But if you're in the Old Port, Granny's is hard to beat. A fresh, giant burrito is about $5. You can sit in their cozy but simple dining room, or walk around town with a meal that can be held easily in one hand.
