Crossed Out
[Gorham HS]
Jake Hansen, Drums; Isiah Lapid, Bass; Alex Verrill, Guitar/Vocals, Stephen Verrill, Guitar/Vocals
In 2006, cousins Alex and Stephen Verrill sought out drummer Jake Hansen, and bassist Isiah Lapid to include them in the creation of their band, Crossed Out. Formerly named "Czech Mate," the band started out in Middle School playing covers of Greenday, Buckcherrry, and Metallica at school talent shows and pep rallies. One year later, the band got back together and agreed upon the name Crossed OutÉfrom Alex's constant feeling of being left behind and forgotten. A chorus teacher at school informed Alex about this year's Rock Off and now they hope that "Rock Off will get us exposed, and we'll hopefully learn a thing or two about the music business."
